Horseman Paul Cavallaro is backing Artillery to take advantage of a great barrier draw to see off a quality field at Tabcorp Park, Menangle on Saturday night.
Artillery is looking to complete a clean sweep in the Autumn Series by taking out the Final and has been helped by the fact he will take barrier one.
The South Australian star had been drawn in barrier three but will take the pole following the removal of the two emergencies.
Cavallaro is delighted with the outcome and believes his charge has what it takes to lead all the way and take the win. He also thinks the four-year-old can break the 1:50 for the mile if it is required.

"When he finished second three starts ago his personal time was 1:49.8," Cavallaro said. "That’s more than two seconds quicker than his best winning time.
"It’s a strong field with a lot of form and speed around him, but he’s got a terrific draw and should be able to make the most of it."
Artillery originates from South Australia but Cavallaro took the decision to send him to Belinda McCarthy in New South Wales. He did the same with Culture King and it is a decision that has paid off.
"Given the good run we had with Culture King, and knowing Artillery was still on a light mark, I suggested to his owners it would be beneficial to send him to Belinda and Luke," he added. "It has already turned out to be a good move.
"He had 10 starts here in South Australia last season and picked up $24,700 whereas now he has had four starts in New South Wales for $24,600 and is in a $30,000 race on Saturday night!"
