Melbourne Victory defender Matthew Spiranovic is facing a spell on the sidelines after suffering a hip injury in the dramatic win over the Central Coast Mariners.
Victory were in need of three points after losing three games on the bounce and they snatched it at the death thanks to a 94th minute strike from Velupillay.
But the victory came at a cost as Spiranovic had to leave the field after taking a heavy whack to the quad/hip during a collision with Mariners striker Jason Cummings.
It remains to be seen how long he will be out for but speaking to reporters after the game, boss Tony Popovic suggested it was not good.

Popa left to rue sloppy mistakes
"He had to come off for it so he will miss some time which is a shame because he's been playing really well," Popovic said.
"We've had a couple of other players unavailable, whether they're injured or sick, which made Matty maybe play too many games in this period. He's looked really good and I feel for him but I know he will come back stronger again."
Meanwhile Popovic was delighted with the three points and praised his players for remaining patient while they went in search of the winning goal.
"Obviously, a very important win. Tough game. Really difficult match," Popovic "They defended very well, it was a bit of an arm wrestle. In the end we kept going which was very encouraging.
"We didn't really give a chance away in the game, defensively we were very solid.
"We remained patient and confident that we could get the winner and the players that came on made a great impact so we are delighted with the win."
