The Western Bulldogs will be without Cody Weightman for the next few weeks after he underwent surgery on his collarbone, while Laitham Vandermeer is also facing a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
The Bulldogs are priced at 1/1 to make the top eight and play finals and after a disappointing start to the campaign this is the last thing they need.
Weightman suffered the injury after crashing in to Port Adelaide’s Sam Hayes in Friday night’s defeat against the Power at the Adelaide Oval.
The forward has undergone surgery and will now began the rehabilitation which will force him to miss two to three games.

“Cody had heavy side impact when he performed a hip and shoulder,” Head of Sports Medicine, Chris Bell told the club’s website.
“This caused him to break his collarbone.” This injury required surgery that has been completed today. We will confirm his plan in the coming days but expect him to miss the next 2-3 games.”
The news is even worse for Vandermeer unfortunately as the hamstring injury suffered in the same game will keep him out for up to two months.
“This is the opposite hamstring to what Laith injured in the earlier part of the season,” Bell added.
“With Laitham lacking continuity and missing considerable game time over the past month, we will look to plan a conservative rehab program that will aim to enhance his durability.
“At this stage, we will be planning that Laitham makes a return in around 8 weeks.”
