Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan has explained why quarterback Joe Burrow took nine sacks on Saturday, admitting "we just have to be better".
The Bengals are 11/4 to follow up their Divisional Round victory over the Tennessee Titans with another at Arrowhead Stadium while the Chiefs are available at 10/11 -7 points on the Spread against the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday's AFC Championship game.
Everyone in Cincinnati knows Burrow will need better protection this weekend, but Callahan - who has interviewed for the head coaching vacancy at the Denver Broncos - says there were a variety of reasons why the Bengals QB was taken down so many times.
"There's moments where we're guys got beat one-on-one, you know, we're playing against good players," Callahan said, via Jake Rice of the team's website.
"There's moments where Joe tried to make a guy miss or hold the ball for a little longer. That's part of what makes his game great so we live with some of those sacks.

"There was one or two that were communication-related. Just didn't get calls out, playing on the road. Again, it's a challenge sometimes, but we just have to be better there. Sometimes they were coverage-related too."
Burrow, who threw for 348 yards against the Titans, led the league by taking 51 sacks for 370 yards in 16 regular season games.
