Champions League - Football: Celtic and Rangers 250/1 to win the UEFA Champions League

Scottish football will have two clubs in the UEFA Champions League Group Stage for the first time since 2007 after Rangers upset the odds to beat Dutch club PSV in Eindhoven last night.

Both Celtic and Rangers will join the competition in Pot Four for tonight’s draw, with both Old Firm sides available at 250/1 To Win Outright.

After a gruelling 2-2 tie in Glasgow last week, The Gers were the underdogs heading in to the game in the Netherlands, available at 17/4 for the win before kick-off.

Antonio Colak scored the game’s only goal on the hour mark, his fifth goal in eight games, and Rangers held on to spark jubilant scenes on the touchline as Giovanni van Bronckhorst led his men back to the big time for the first time since 2011.

Celtic and Rangers will enter tonight’s group stage draw in the bottom tier, pot four, and face the prospect of welcoming some of Europe’s leading clubs to Glasgow, although the rivals cannot be drawn in the same group.

Rangers could be drawn against Eintracht Frankfurt in the group stage, the team who ended their fairy-tale run in the Europa League last season when the German club beat them in the final on penalties.

At 250/1, the Old Firm rivals are big outsiders for the competition, however Glasgow has hosted some big European upsets in recent years, notably in 2012/2013 when Celtic beat Spanish giants FC Barcelona 2-1 at Parkhead.

The return to Europe’s elite competition marks a significant milestone in Rangers’ history, after they were relegated to the Scottish fourth tier in 2012 after entering administration.
