A crack at the Group 1 Sangster Stakes at Morphettville could lie in wait for Saturday's Listed Redelva Stakes winner Champagne Dreams.

The mare finished second in the Group 3 Typhoon Tracy at Moonee Valley on 25th February and her trainer Wayne Francis is hopeful she can cope with the huge step up in class for the 1200 metre contest.

"I couldn't get over how nobody rated her, she'd won two in Adelaide then went over to Melbourne and ran second in a Group 3 at Moonee Valley," said Francis, who co-trains with Glen Kent.
"After Melbourne we thought we'd put her away for a few weeks then go to the Redelva, and the main race we were always looking to was the Sangster.
"We paid $15,000 for her and it's just been a really good story ever since.
"I think Jake Toeroek's going to ride her, he's been up to Strath riding her in work and we've taken her to Morphettville so he can ride her, he says, 'I'm there'.
"She's pulled up well, really good, we'll give her a couple of jump-outs at the track at home, she goes her best when she's that bit fresh.
"We've had a few offers to sell her, but that won't happen."
