Daumier will attempt to become just the sixth winner of Caulfield's Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes to complete the valuable juvenile double by following up in the Group 1 Golden Slipper when the Godolphin colt lines up at Rosehill on Saturday.
The Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained juvenile was winning for the second time in three starts when successful in last month's Blue Diamond and he heads into the Slipper rated as a 20/1 chance to add further riches to his haul.
While his previous victories have come on quick ground, the colt's connections are confident he will be able to handle more testing underfoot conditions - the Rosehill track was described as a Soft 7 on the eve of the race.
"It's a nice gate (8) for us to position up where we want," Sam Freedman told Racing.com. "We've got the day to see how the track is playing and where the best ground might be.
"Daumier seems able to settle on the pace or just behind the speed and that gives us options to settle where we would like.
"We are very happy with the horse and confident he's going to put in a very good performance," Freedman added, with Mark Zahra - on board for each of Daumier's last two starts - once again taking the ride.
Sepoy was the last horse to complete the Blue Diamond/Golden Slipper double when triumphant back in 2011.
