Brisbane Broncos have been boosted by the news Herbie Farnworth has pledged his future to the club by signing a one-year contract extension.
The Broncos are priced at 1/6 to finish in the top eight and return to finals this season. They have started well and currently sit fifth on the ladder after winning seven games so far.
Englishman Farnworth has been a revelation this season and there has been talk of rival clubs showing an interest as he was due to be off contract at the end of the year.
The Dolphins were one of them. However all the rumours can come to an end for now at least after the 22-year-old penned a deal that will run until the end of 2023.

Farnworth says there was never any doubt about him committing his future. He is loving life with the Broncos under the leadership of coach Kevin Walters and is excited for the future.
“I’ve been here since I was 15 and I’m really happy with all the boys and Kevvie and all the staff – I really enjoy it here at the club,” he told the club’s website.
“The past two years have been tough but to get the last five wins in a row and the direction the club is headed, that’s played a big role in my decision to stay.
“With all the players who have chosen to stay, a lot of us came through the 20s competition together – Fleggy, Kobe, Patty, Payne, Staggs – we’ve all come through together and it’s good to stay together.
“We’re really happy that we can get some wins for our members and fans and give them something to cheer about at Suncorp.”
