Perth Glory will again be forced to send out a patched up side when they face the Newcastle Jets on Thursday.
The A-League season may be over but the two sides will go head-to-head in an Australian Cup elimination qualifying clash.
Glory have had a nightmare on the injury in the second half of the season and they have been hit with more ahead of the Jets game.
Ruben Zadkovich’s side pulled off a shock 2-0 win over Melbourne City in the final game of the season last Wednesday. But it looks as though five of the players involved in that game will not be available.

“We’ve got a bit of a battered squad,” Zadkovich said. “We still have to fitness test players but it looks like five may not be available off the back of the performance against Melbourne.
“There will definitely be some big, forced changes. That makes the task even more difficult but we’ll piece something together.
It’s disappointing but it’s another bit of adversity the boys have to face and another challenge they will have to embrace.”
Zadkovich says it is a game Glory really need to try and win as it will help with their preparations for next season as they look to bounce back from a horror 2021/22.
“It’s crucial to win because going forward it gives you games in the next pre-season which is important,” he added. “It’s a difficult game from an emotional point of view, given what the players have been through this year. We’ll be underdogs but we’ll embrace it.”
