NRL: Gould impressing with Bulldogs

Canterbury new boy Josh Addo-Carr has saluted the impact being made by Phil Gould and believes the Bulldogs have what it takes to make finals this season.

The Bulldogs are priced at 22/1 to win the 2022 NRL grand final and following the addition of general manager Gould, appear to be heading in the right direction.

Huge influence

The Bulldogs, who are coached by Trent Barrett, have brought in a number of top-quality signings including Addo-Carr and Matt Burton but Gould is also having a big impact since arriving ahead of the new season,

Gould is a hugely respected figure in the game and Addo-Carr says he is helping to drive high standards at the club.

Wests excited by Koroisau agreement

"He just wants the best for the team and always asks what we can do for the boys and for the club, seeing how we can make training better and everyone's job easier," Addo-Carr said.

"He's really intimidating, to be honest. He's just got that aura about him. Moving to the club, I've really got to know him and it's been awesome."

Addo-Carr excited

Addo-Carr arrives from Melbourne Storm where he won two premierships and he is excited about the future with his new club.

There is a long way for the Bulldogs to climb to play finals but the speedy winger says it can be done this season.

"It was a shock to the system moving to a different club," he added. "I knew it was going to be a challenge, but they're a good bunch of boys and they're willing to work hard."
