Reinsman Michael Grantham is in a confident mood as Miss Boudica prepares to contest the $50,000 Group 2 TABradio APG Series 30 4YO Consolation Final (1730m) at Gloucester Park on Friday night.
Miss Boudica will be looking to add to the win she picked up in the three-year-old edition of the race last year and looks well placed to give it a good crack.
Grantham says he is pleased with the form of Miss Boudica, who is trained by Michael Brennan. She has impressed in her last two starts even though bad luck has robbed her of potential wins.
The reinsman is hoping for more luck on Friday night and believes jumping from barrier two will help her cause.

“She’s been going really well of late,” he told reporters ahead of the race. “The draw is perfect as well, so we’ll be all guns blazing at the start and hopefully they’ll be chasing me.
“I think I’ll be able to cross and Lady Jadore might sit on us as well, but it depends on how forward their horse is. If not, I think my horse is good enough to sit outside of it.”
Meanwhile Grantham has identified American Arma, who is trained by Colin Brown, as the main danger to their chances. He has won the past two starts and could be hard to beat.
“She’s going really well,” Grantham added.“She’s obviously going to get the camp on us – I don’t think Browny will send her forward. Whatever we use early is what it’ll have up its sleeve late.”
