Trainer Jason Grimson is hoping to pull off another boilover when Majestic Cruiser takes to the Menangle track in the Garrards Miracle Mile on Saturday night.
Grimson has upset the formbook in the past when his charge Boncel Benjamin defied the odds to take out the Inter Dominion Grand Final at the end of last year.
Boncel Benjamin caught the eye when placing in two of his qualifying heats but not many outside of Grimson's stable gave him a chance heading into the grand final.
However they proved everyone wrong with the win and will be looking to do the same in the $1million feature at Tabcorp Park when Majestic cruiser will have to get past the likes of King Of Swing to take the win.
Sugars rues Miracle Mile postponement
Majestic Cruiser showed what he is capable of when finishing second behind Spirit Of St Louis in the Schweppes Sprint two weeks ago and will have to raise his game again.
However reinsman Cameron Hart, who will take the drive on Saturday, knows his charge will have a big job on his hands if he is to win the Miracle Mile.
"The horse has been racing well and deserves his spot in the field," Hart told reporters. "He always gives his all and I am confident he will acquit himself well tomorrow night.
"His run was super in the qualifier and he has drawn well, so I will just drive him for luck to give him every chance to run on at the finish. Jason does a great job preparing his horses, which makes my job in the gig just that little bit easier."
