NBA - US Sports: Grizzlies looking to stun Warriors

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr has urged his team to raise their game further as they prepare for Game 1 of their second-round series against Golden State Warriors.

The two sides meet for the opener in Memphis on Sunday. The Grizzlies are 11/10 to win in the Money Line and Golden State can be backed at 10/13.

Grizzlies take down Timberwolves

Memphis beat Minnesota Timberwolves in six games in their play-off opener in what was the most competitive of all the first-round series.

Golden State needed five games to overcome an injury-hit Denver Nuggets and the Dubs have also had a few extra days rest ahead of the series opener.

The Grizzlies lost 4-1 in the first round to Utah Jazz last year and their win over Minnesota is their first post-season series victory since 2015. Since then, Memphis have lost in the first round on three occasions and have failed to qualify three times.

Jackson was delighted to claim a win over Minnesota and says Memphis are now ready to raise their game further as they prepare to take on Golden State.

"It's a good feeling, but we're still not satisfied," he said, via Sportsnaut. "You've got to keep raising your level."

Adams set to miss out again

Memphis are likely to be without center Steve Adams again on Sunday after he missed the Game 6 win, although he has been used sparingly in the post-season and has played for just over 30 minutes in total across three games.

The Grizzlies had the better of the regular season games between the two teams with three wins to Golden State's one, with the Grizzlies claiming a convincing 123-95 win when the pair last met at the FedExForum at the end of March.
