Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley is hopeful both Xavier Duursma and Trent McKenzie have avoided serious injury during the loss to the Brisbane Lions on Saturday night.
Port are out to win the 2022 AFL grand final but have not got the campaign off to the best of starts following an 11-point loss to the Lions.
Just to make matters worse for the Power, Duursma picked up a collarbone injury and had to leave the field in the first quarter.
McKenzie made it to the last quarter before being stretchered off with a knee injury but speaking to reporters after the game, Hinkley sounded upbeat.

Port are waiting for the full diagnosis on both injuries but the early signs are pretty good.
"Xavier looks like he's OK structurally, not a break or anything," Hinkley said. "At the time we were fearing it may have been broken.
"And Trent, we don't know, we think he may have escaped the worst. We'll wait and see.
"On the initial tests, our doctors are very experienced, and are reasonably confident that as an ACL goes, it's probably not that. Again, I don't want to go off too early and get it wrong."
Port were leading by 24 points late in the third term before the Lions came roaring back and Hinkley says fatigue played its part.
"I think by the end, maybe we were just a bit out on our legs. Maybe," Hinkley added. "I'm not saying that's 100 percent because Brisbane lifted and took it to another level and we couldn't keep coming.
"I said to the boys, if we can play that way every week, we'll win a lot more football games than we'll lose."
