The Gold Coast Suns have secured the future of Elijah Hollands until the end of the 2024 AFL campaign after he penned a new contract extension.
The Suns are priced at 11/2 to finish in the top eight and play finals in the new season and Hollands will now be looking to play his role after penning the two-year contract extension.
Hollands suffered a ruptured ACL back in 2020 but that did not stop the Gold Gold Coast from taking him as pick No.7 in the NAB AFL draft that year.
The 19-year-old returned to the field and played three VFL games in 2021 and is now looking to kick on further after having a solid pre-season so far.

Suns boosted as Miller commits
After undergoing his rehabilitation with the Suns, Hollands believes the process has been a positive thing as he has been able to build strong bonds and friendships at the club.
"You can build them quite easily when you're on-field doing everything with them, but off-field when you're running laps it makes it a bit harder," he said.
"Around the footy club I just put in a bit more effort to build those relationships. I've got a lot of confidence in my body now, the knee is a thing of the past, I don't even think about it any more."
Meanwhile Hollands says playing in the VFL late last season after making his recovery also gave him a boost heading into pre-season.
"It just felt like I was back," Hollands added. "Coming into the first day of pre-season, it felt like I was just mixing back into the group and not just being a rehab guy.
"It gave me the mental freshness, but also some confidence in my game."
