Esports: IEM Dallas field taking shape

Liquid, Complexity, Imperial and LFO have qualified for IEM Dallas, leaving only two spots remain up for grabs at the event in Texas.

Cloud9, meanwhile, are 6/5 to win the HALO - HCS Kansas City, with opTic Gaming at 11/8.

Euro qualifier remains

The Oceanic, North American, and South American qualifiers have concluded for IEM Dallas, with Looking For Org, Liquid, Complexity, and Imperial all securing spots at the ESL event slated for the end of May.

Only the European qualifier is left to play, with it awarding the final two spots at the event.

The Oceania qualifier was the first to come to an end, seeing LFO taking down VERTEX as well as ORDER in the double-elimination bracket to secure a spot at yet another international event.

The South American qualifier featured many rematches from the recent PGL Antwerp Americas RMR tournament that played out between Imperial, MIBR, and 9z.

While 9z took down the veterans in the first match, Fernando "fer" Alvarenga and company turned it around from the lower bracket to get revenge on the Spanish-speaking squad as well as take down MIBR in a close series to qualify.

Top teams in action

The North American IEM qualifier featured all the top teams in the region, as none of them had received direct invites to the event.

The bracket saw the favorites win out for the most part, although Evil Geniuses continued to struggle, as after a close series against Liquid and Carpe Diem they ultimately fell in the lower bracket to GODSENT.

Liquid went through the qualifier unbeaten, while Complexity advanced after two very close wins against GODSENT, which saw only a single map out of six go to less than 26 rounds.

In both series, it was Michael "Grim" Wince who stepped up big for his team, posting the highest ratings on the server.
