Driver Nathan Jack is excited by an opportunity to take part in the Miracle Mile, but expects Belinda McCarthy's runners to be the ones to beat.
Jack secured a place in the Tabcorp Park Menangle showpiece thanks to a stunning victory in the Newcastle Mile on the Emma Stewart-trained Mach Dan, but he expects to have a much tougher time this weekend.
The McCarthy duo of King Of Swing and Spirit Of St Louis have been drawn one and two for the $1million race, with another fancied runner - Bondi Lockdown - facing a much tougher task from barrier nine.
And Jack is well aware of the nature of his challenge, telling harnesslink: "Belinda's horses have drawn perfectly in gates one and two and although Mach Dan is fast out, I cannot see him being able to muster sufficient speed to cross them.
"Our plan is to come out and find cover to gain an economical run. Hopefully, then he can finish the race off well.
"Every driver wants to contest the Miracle Mile and I am just pleased to be lucky enough to be in it."

Turnbull clan seeking another Miracle
Jack can take confidence into the Miracle Mile that he can challenge from barrier five after Mach Dan showed class in his Newcastle Mile triumph.
He added: "I doubt that you will ever see a middle half like that again in a Group 1 mile race.
"Going past the bell with 1000 metres to run, I had a little chuckle to myself because I knew that my bloke had re-filled the lungs and had not been pressured at all.
"From there, I just had to hold him together and the horse felt really strong all the way to the line."
