Kilcruit saw his odds slashed for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham in March after finally getting off the mark over obstacles at odds of 1/5 in the opening 2m maiden hurdle at Punchestown on Monday.
The classy bumper performer was atoning for two reversals at cramped odds on his first two outings over jumps including at 1/14 on his introduction at Cork in December. Kilcruit is now 20/1 to win the Supreme Novices' Hurdle. You can follow the action via our Sports Live Streaming platform.
The son of Stowaway then may well not have not got the trip when tackling 2m4f at Leopardstown over Christmas where he weakened on the run-in to finish third to Journey With Me.

Racing in a first-time tongue-tie, Kilcruit took no prisoners when making all under Paul Townend to record a 21-length victory over Bold Approach.
Trained by Willie Mullins, Kilcruit was a high-class bumper horse last season, winning at the Dublin Racing Festival before chasing home stablemate Sir Gerhard in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham. He later went one better when landing the Grade 1 Bumper at the Punchestown festival.
Mullins said: "We set out to do what we did, I don't know if we learned much bar that he gallops. It didn't look the fastest two miles on the clock, but we will see."
He added: "He had nothing against him to make him jump any better. I don't know if we run him again before Cheltenham, I imagine he will go to the Supreme Novices'. I think the tongue-tie was a real addition today, there wasn't a blow out of him after the race."
