Patrick Kisnorbo is set to lose another talented youngster but is delighted that Connor Metcalfe will now get a chance to build a career in Europe.
Melbourne City are priced at 7/4 to win the 2021/22 A-League grand final and will be hoping that Metcalfe can go out on a high before making the switch to Germany.
Metcalfe has agreed a three-year deal with 2.Bundesliga Club St Pauli and will link up with his new club at the end of the current A-League season.
Kisnorbo has lost his second talented youngster in the space of a month after Nathanial Atkinson made the move to Scottish Premier League side Hearts.

But in both instances Kisnorbo is delighted that both players now get an opportunity to go on and take their game to another level.
"We can help him and we can push him but end of the day, it's up to the individual player. So I'm delighted for him," Kisnorbo said after City's win over Newcastle. "He gave himself the opportunity to maybe one day fulfil a dream and he's done that.
"It's great to be part of that journey. Where that journey will take him, I don't know but it's great to see someone from our academy come through the ranks and get that chance."
Kisnorbo knows what it is like to play overseas having represented the likes of Leicester City and Leeds and says Metcalfe will have to take his game up a few notches.
"You need to push them because once you go overseas, it's 10 times harder. There's more players, there's probably better players, you're in a tougher league," Kisnorbo added. "One game could be the start of you or the end of you.
"So it's great that he's been rewarded thus far but he needs to continue to work."
