Melbourne Victory have confirmed midfielder Robbie Kruse will not be extending his stay with the club into the 2022/23 A-League season.
The 33-year-old suffered a serious knee injury in March which ruled him out for the rest of the season as Victory went in search of premiership glory.
They fell just short and Kruse will not be on board next season when Tony Popovic’s men look to go again. It is unclear whether the decision was Victory’s or the player’s, but either way he is on the move.
It remains to be seen how long Kruse will be on the sidelines for and if he will go in search of a new club to prolong his lengthy career.

Kruse enjoyed two spells with Victory, with a spell overseas sandwiched in between. He represented German giants Bayer Leverkusen and also the Socceroos at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
"Robbie has been one of the Australia's most successful footballers on the international stage over the past decade and we'll always be proud of his association with Melbourne Victory," director of football, John Didulica said.
"His first stint at the club showed the potential for exciting young footballers to springboard their careers into the best clubs in Europe and into the Australian national team.
"This season in particular he played such an important role in guiding our young players to the Australia Cup triumph."
