LA Rams star Cooper Kupp says he's not looking to become the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL as contract negotiations continue.
Kupp earned a place in history last season, becoming the first player since 2005 to secure the receiving triple crown (NFL leader in receptions, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns) before going on to win the Super Bowl LVI MVP award after the Rams, who are 10/1 to repeat, defeated the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium.

The 28-year-old is set to play the final year of the three-year $48 million contract he signed in 2020 - a deal that ranks him outside the top 15 highest-paid wideouts right now.

Tyreek Hill ($30 million per year on average) jumped to the top of the list of top pass-catching earners when he was traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Miami Dolphins last month - just after Davante Adams ($28 million per year) had bolted from the Green Bay Packers to the Las Vegas Raiders.
But the former third-round draft pick out of Eastern Washington doesn't care about comparisons to other stars within the game and says he's seeking a fair amount, not a cap-breaking total that could potentially hurt his current team.
"I don't think that's the approach that I take," Kupp said on Tuesday, via nfl.com. "There's a place you want to be. There's a place that I think is fair.
"I'm not trying to beat anybody. I'm not trying to compare myself to anyone else."
