Western United defender Leo Lacroix is delighted to be top of the A-League ladder but knows there is a long way to go and they need to improve even more.
Western are looking good to win the 2021/22 A-League minor premiership and as things stand they sit top of the pile after 11 games.
Swiss star Lacroix has helped to Marshall a Western defence that that has conceded just nine goals this season and set the foundation to go on and win games.
John Aloisi's men have played the last three games in Sydney without picking up a defeat and on Sunday they host Western Sydney Wanderers back in Melbourne.

Spirits are high and Western are going well but Lacroix knows they cannot take the foot off the gas.
"We are doing well. We are working well. The coaches are very good, the players also. There is a good energy in the changeroom, (it's) positive," Lacroix told AAP. "We know what we did until here but the season is still long.
"Now we have to improve more to make our supporters happy at the end of the season."
Lacroix also says it is important that Melbourne now make the most of their two home games and take maximum points from them.
"When we play away it's important that we don't lose the game," he added. "Try to win and don't lose. We did well. We can improve more. Now we have two games at home, we know what we have to do."
