Ladies In Red made a stunning return to action on Wednesday when crushing her rivals with a dominant win in Ballarat.
With new reinsman Nathan Jack in the sulky, the Emma Stewart-trained superstar took out the Australian Pacing Gold 4YO Mares heat at Bray Raceway in fine style.
It was Ladies In Red’s first race since winning the Vicbred Super Series 3YO Fillies Final at Melton on 31st December but there were no signs of rustiness.
Jumping from barrier eight, Jack and Ladies In Red quickly made their way to the front and the reinsman was able to dictate the race from there.

Ladies In Red then produced a blistering final quarter of 26.2 seconds to wrap up the win ahead of stablemates Joanna and Tough Tilly who took second and third respectively.
Jack was delighted with the win and says Ladies In Red is the best filly he has ever driven.
“Obviously I didn’t want to stay behind the one horse (Kendys Butterfly) and then the two horse (Beach Music) galloped so that sort of made it harder. We had to go around a few,” Jack told the Ballarat and District Trotting Club after the race.
“As soon as the opportunity was there to get around them, I took it straight away. She won as she liked. It was a slowly run race and a quick quarter, but it was probably all she needed going into next week.
“I’ve been lucky enough to drive a lot of good fillies like Broadways Best and horses like (her) just come to mind, but no doubt she’s the best one I’ve driven that’s for sure.”
