Daine Laurie has played down reports linking him with a move away from the Wests Tigers and says he is keen to pen a new contract extension with the club.
The Tigers are priced at 9/1 to finish in the top eight and play finals and could do with Laurie back firing on all cylinders for the rest of the season.
The fullback really caught the eye in 2021 but has struggled to hit the same heights in the opening rounds of the 2022 season.
The 22-year-old is off-contract at the end of the 2023 NRL campaign and has also seen his name linked with a move to the Dolphins who will enter the competition next season.

However Laurie has dismissed such talk and says there is only one place he wants to be. He is also delighted with the news that his good friend Brent Naden has just signed from the Bulldogs.
“Hundred per cent, I definitely want to stay,” Laurie told the Daily Telegraph. “My manager is working on that in the background so we‘ll see how we go. I just want to get out there and play good footy.
“It’s deadly Nado that has come over to the Tigers. We started our journey together back at Penrith and we were working well together too and lit it up. Hopefully, we can continue that.”
Meanwhile there had been all kinds of rumours suggesting that the contract talks had not been going well, but again Laurie has dismissed such talk.
“There was stuff on social media, there was nothing in it,” Laurie added. “I spoke to my manager to see what was going on but he just said focus on playing good footy.”
