Captain Steven Stamkos believes the Tampa Bay Lightning are feeling good about themselves as they prepare to try and win the Stanley Cup for a third straight season.
The Lightning, 12/1 to three-peat as Stanley Cup champions, have one game remaining in the regular season and sit one point ahead of the Boston Bruins for second place in the Atlantic Division (50-23-8).
In a 4-1 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday, 32-year-old Stamkos reached 100 points for the first time in his NHL career with two goals and two assists.
In 79 games this season, Stamkos has 39 goals and 62 assists, which leads the Lightning in each category.
Previously, the closest Stamkos had come to reaching the three-figure milestone was in 2018/19 when he hit 98 points (45 goals, 53 assists) in 82 games.

He is currently on an eight-game point streak which has seen him score 23 (seven goals, 16 assists) and the first-round pick in 2008 also became the franchise's all-time leading scorer earlier this month.
Stamkos has contributed 967 points (478 goals, 489 assists) in 920 regular season appearances for the Lightning over 14 seasons and twice won the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy as the NHL’s leading goal-scorer (2009/10 and 2011/12).
He said to the media: "The powerplay is clicking and everything is coming together at the right time.
"What's more important; we want to be feeling good about ourselves going into the post-season. We're certainly trending in that direction."
