Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir is not looking at the ladder and is calling on the Dockers to stay focused and keep improving after they jumped up to second place.
Freo are priced at 22/1 to win the grand final and they are well on their way following a solid start to the 2022 campaign.
The Dockers smashed Essendon by 48 points at Marvel Stadium on Saturday and now sit 4-1 after the opening five games of the season.
Next up is a big game against Carlton who are also 4-1 and Longmuir says his side will not get carried away by ladder position as there is still a lot for them to learn.

"It's good recognition for the work we've put in; we've got to re-focus, do the reps and get ready to again," Longmuir said.
"It feels good (being second), but I don't really look at the ladder, we’ve still got plenty to work on in our game, all our players understand that.
"We've got good pressure for spots, no-one's getting comfortable with the way we're playing or individual form. We just need to keep it going, keep it rolling."
Matt Taberner was the hero for the Dockers when booting a career-best seven goals in a game and Longmuir saluted him after the game.
"I'm really proud of him because I don't think we’ve got anyone that works harder on their game, he's always doing extras, sometimes to his own detriment," Longmuir added.
"He's always working on his goalkicking, and for him to kick so accurately today… it was really needed and a great reward for the effort he's put in."
