NBA - US Sports: Looney welcomes extended break

Golden State center Kevon Looney says having a few days rest between playoff games has benefitted his team as they prepare for Saturday's Game 3 against Memphis Grizzlies.

The Warriors can be backed at 1/3 to win in the Money Line, while Memphis are 12/5 to come out on top, with all the action on the Sports Live Streaming platform.

Series tied up

The two teams last met in Memphis on Tuesday as the Grizzlies claimed a 106-101 win to level the series at 1-1.

Usually, the playoffs are fairly hectic and back-to-back games are a regular occurrence but the schedule has worked out differently this year and the Dubs have had a break over the last few days.

Looney says the extended time off has been beneficial for the Warriors, due to the fact they have plenty of veterans, as they seek to reclaim a series lead in the first game at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

"Just having some time at home to get some rest in and get some good practices in and really lock in on the game plan is always going to be good for us," said Looney, via the La Crosse Tribune. "We have a veteran team and it's given us a chance to make some adjustments and figure out and learn from our last loss."

The break may benefit the Dubs, but it has also come at a good time for the Grizzlies after their gruelling first round win over Minnesota Timberwolves.

Quick turnaround for Memphis

Golden State won their first round series 4-1 against Denver Nuggets, while Memphis were taken to six games by Minnesota.

Memphis' series against the Timberwolves ended two days after the Warriors had finished off Denver and they had a quick turnaround between the end of the first round and start of the second.
