Patrick Mahomes expects to be able to spread the ball around a revamped Kansas City Chiefs receiving corps this coming season, although seven-time Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce should still be his go-to guy in the red zone.
The Chiefs, 5/1 to win the AFC Championship, traded Mahomes' former top target Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins this spring and recruited several new wideouts via free agency and the draft.
Former Pittsburgh Steelers star JuJu Smith-Schuster was brought in on a one-year deal, with Marquez Valdes-Scantling - who was the Green Bay Packers' designated deep threat - arriving on a three-year contract to fill a portion of Hill's role.
Kansas City also picked up ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneers special teamer Justin Watson in free agency, before dipping into the rookie pool twice to pluck out Skyy Moore in the second round and former Clemson freshman star Justyn Ross as an undrafted free agent.
Demarcus Robinson and Byron Pringle also exited Arrowhead this off-season, leaving Mecole Hardman as the only senior receiver Mahomes had thrown to before the summer workouts began.
And after the first run of OTAs were completed last week, the 2018 league MVP now has a good idea of the potential in the Chiefs' new-look receiving room.

"That's what you're going to see from this offense this year: It's going to be everybody," Mahomes told reporters, via The Athletic.
"Travis is still going to get a lot of completions, a lot of yards, but I think the whole receiving room is going to have big days. That can be something we can use to our advantage.
"I think this year we'll become different where you're not going to know where you're going to get the deep ball from and the short pass from, because we have a lot of different guys that can do it all."
