Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson says Joey Manu is cool, calm and ready to play ahead of the re-match with South Sydney and Latrell Mitchell.
The Roosters are priced at 3/5 to beat Souths but much of the talk in the build-up to the game has focused the showdown between Manu and Mitchell.
The rivalry between the two sides is hot but could move up a couple of notches after Mitchell left Manu with a fractured jaw the last time the two sides met.
Mitchell picked up a lengthy suspension for the high shot and on Friday night the two players will meet for the first time.
The issue is water under the bridge as far as Manu is concerned and Robinson says his player is just treating it like a normal game.
"He's as consistent a person as there is," Robinson told reporters. "He's been as consistent person throughout coming back to contact and training. He's just been getting about the business.
"He doesn't need to rise and fall with any different emotions. I've never seen it in him and it's been no different. He's just ready to play some footy."
Meanwhile Robinson is also treating it as just another game as the Roosters look to shine in the season ahead.
"The most important thing that we want to do this year is become a great team," Robinson added. "We've ebbed-and-flowed in the last couple of years and we haven't handled that. That's not our path this year."
