Central Coast Mariners are on course to meet their target of playing finals football after hammering Wellington Phoenix 4-0 on Sunday.
The Mariners are priced at 11/10 to make the top six and now sit in eighth place on the ladder just two points behind Macarthur who sit in sixth.
It looked as though the Mariners were in for a tough game against a Wellington side playing back on home soil for the first time in 2022. Over 18,000 supporters turned out but the Mariners spoiled the party and kept them quiet with an impressive display.
Beni N’Kololo broke the deadlock on 25 minutes, then further goals by Jason Cummings, Moresche and Matt Hatch after the break completed the rout.

Mariners boss Nick Montgomery was delighted with the win and says his side are on course to achieve all of their goals this season.
"We had a target at the start of the year: to get in the FFA Cup final and to get in the top six," Montgomery said. "A lot of these boys have never been overseas for a football game, the FFA Cup final, that was first time some of the boys have been outside NSW. These are the games you want to play in. Fair play to the Phoenix fans."
Meanwhile Wellington sit in fifth spot and have their destiny in their own hands still. Boss Ufuk Talay says they now need to pick themselves up and get ready to go again.
"It's a loss, it's a loss that we didn't want. But at the end of the day we're still in a great position to move forward," Talay added.
