Central Coast Mariners coach Nick Montgomery is hoping a bit of team bonding will work wonders ahead of a tough assignment against Melbourne City on Tuesday night.
The Mariners are priced at 6/5 to finish in the top six of the A-League but they have not won in the last six games and currently sit in 10th spot on the ladder.
The Mariners slipped to a last-gasp 1-0 defeat against Melbourne Victory on Saturday and face a huge task as they look to bounce back against in-form City.
They have stayed in Melbourne since Saturday and Montgomery believes the time together could work in their favour ahead of the AAMI Park showdown.

"It's given us a bit of an opportunity to debrief here, obviously recover and go through the review of the game as well as starting to prepare against Melbourne City tomorrow night," Montgomery told reporters on Monday.
"It's been good for the boys to be together and a little bit of time together, which we've not had because we've not had many away trips up until now. So yeah, it's been been a good opportunity for the boys to really bond."
While the Mariners are struggling for results, Patrick Kisnorbo's City are on a roll and currently sit in second place on the ladder.
Even so Montgomery is buoyed by having a strong squad available to him and says they will be looking to get something from the game.
"We're aware of them, we know they're a quality team and we know they're aggressive and they've got a strong squad," he added. "But we go into every game full of confidence and looking forward to getting a result, so that will stay the same."
