Netminder Jacob Markstrom made 22 saves to help the Calgary Flames win a ninth game in a row, 2-1 against the Seattle Kraken, before saying they are focusing on one game at a time to keep the momentum going.
The winning run is one away from Calgary's franchise record and has put the Flames at 12/1 to win the Stanley Cup in 2021/22.
Calgary have outscored opponents 39-14 during the run, scoring at least four goals in seven straight games and at least five goals in five straight.

Markstrom has recorded 22 wins in 38 games this season. His .927 save-percentage ranks joint third in the NHL (for goalies who have played more than six times) and his 2.09 goals-against-average is also third.
The 32-year-old, in a second season with the Flames, has also recorded a league leading eight shut-outs.
With a 29-13-6 record, Calgary hold first place in the Pacific Division and will look to equal the franchise record win streak at home (where they have also won eight-straight) against the Winnipeg Jets on Monday.
Markstrom said to the media: "I think right now we just want to win. You want to keep winning. I don't think anybody's looking at that.
"We want to keep the momentum and keep getting two points. That's the only thing that matters right now. Short memory, and right now we've got to look at the next game and get ready and prepare. That's kind of how we look at it."
