Luke McCarthy is delighted to have been handed an advantage by the draw for the Miracle Mile at Menangle on Saturday.
Reinsman McCarthy will drive King Of Swing from pole position, with his expected main rival - Bondi Lockdown - back down in ninth position.
And it is the latter which McCarthy believes could hold more significance, as he feels his charge is in perfect from for the $1million showpiece.
He told Harness Racing Victoria: "It didn't matter so much where he (King Of Swing) drew, it was more where Bondi Lockdown drew and if he drew inside him.
"I'm wrapt with the draw. He just feels really sharp at the moment."

However, McCarthy has been warned that he will also face a major challenge from Jack Callaghan driving Spirit Of St Louis.
Callaghan usually works for trainer Belinda McCarthy and reinsman Luke McCarthy, but he will put aside those links at the weekend to try and spring a shock at Menangle.
He added: I’d love to win it. "As a kid growing up in NSW, the Miracle Mile was the race you'd dream of winning.
"If that means beating King Of Swing, then so be it.
"But I've gone from being confident we can really test him, to just hoping now - I'm really in the hands of others."
