Dan McStay is comfortable with his contract situation with Brisbane and says talks over a new deal are on the back-burner while he focuses on his footy.
The Lions are priced at 9/25 to beat St Kilda at the Gabba on Saturday night in what will be McStay’s 150th AFL game. And there is plenty of talk surrounding his future.
The 26-year-old is off-contract at the end of the year and there is no shortage of interest from clubs in Victoria. Collingwood in particular are said to be sniffing around and Brisbane could face a fight to keep hold.
However McStay is not concerned and remains completely focused on helping the Lions push for the flag this season.

"For me, the contract stuff, I've kind of put that on the backburner," he told reporters ahead of the game. "My manager and the club are in constant talks. I'm really comfortable where that sits."
McStay has been a revelation for the Lions this season when booting 14 goals in 10 games. To add to the 28 goals he kicked last season.
Brisbane are so keen to keep hold they are reported to have increased his offer to a five-year deal.
Coach Chris Fagan knows what he means to the club but is just focusing on what he can control.
"It's a big decision, but I can't really control what's going on off-field," Fagan added. "All I can control is what I'm doing on-field."
