The Seattle Seahawks say they have no plans to trade wide receiver DK Metcalf, but there remains a feeling within NFL circles that he could change teams before the draft at the end of this month.
The Seahawks, 10/1 to win the NFC West title later this year, have already lost Super Bowl-winning linebacker Bobby Wagner and former starting quarterback Russell Wilson during a tumultuous offseason.
Seahawks fans would find it hard to swallow the loss of another star player if Metcalf, who is entering the last year of his rookie contract and looking for a huge new deal, follows those two icons out of Seattle.

And while the team are publicly saying all the right things and have even told Metcalf that he's not being considered for a trade, other league executives aren't so sure.
Metcalf's name is still "buzzing in league circles" according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
"I'm told that Metcalf has gotten indications, informally from the team, that he's not going to be traded," Fowler told SportsCenter on Sunday.
"Seattle has said publicly they have no intention to trade him. But the execs I talk to keep bringing him up that maybe they would either be willing to move on at the right price or that Metcalf would welcome a change.
"So, something is going on here - it's just hard to figure out what. But he's got one year left on his rookie deal. He would need a new contract as part of a trade. That's the tricky part."
