Patrick Beverley is cautioning the Minnesota Timberwolves against being "complacent" in their quest to make the playoffs.
Minnesota return to action after the All-Star break on Thursday with a tough home assignment against Memphis. The Timberwolves are 5/4 to win in the Money Line and the Grizzlies can be backed at 20/29.
Beverley says Minnesota cannot afford to be "complacent and settle" for a place in the play-in tournament as they bid to secure a place in the playoffs for the first time since 2018.
The Timberwolves sit in seventh place in the Western Conference with a 31-28 overall record, two-and-a-half games behind Denver Nuggets immediately above them in the final automatic playoff spot.
Minnesota look set to at least secure a place in the play-in tournament and Beverley is well aware this is uncharted territory for the majority of his teammates, as they have only competed in the postseason once since 2004.
Beverley, 33, joined the Wolves ahead of the current campaign from Los Angeles Clippers and has plenty of postseason experience.

The point guard has played in 59 playoff games in total during spells with both Houston Rockets and the Clippers, and he is eager to help his current team end their postseason absence.
"We're in a position where a lot of people on this team have never been," Beverley said, via Twin Cities.
"Success also comes with good and bad. So, we're on a playoff run, having success, winning a lot of games. It's a good and it's also a bad, man. We just don't want to be complacent and settle.
"Obviously, we're just the seventh seed. We want to catch Denver, we want to catch Dallas [Mavericks in fifth].
"We want to catch those teams. And in order to do that we gotta play consistent offensively and defensively."
