Brisbane Roar coach Warren Moon will be checking with the club's board to see if he can bring in a new player as injuries start to rip into his squad.
Roar hope to be pushing to finish in the top six of the A-League but their chances of doing so are being hampered by a number of injuries that are leaving the squad on the light side.
Moon was speaking after watching his side slip to a 3-1 home defeat against Adelaide United on Sunday and he hopes to get the nod to sign a new striker.
Juan Lescano and Adam Parsons have picked up hamstring and quad injuries respectively and are facing spells on the sidelines.

They join Luke Ivanovic and Cyrus Dehmie on the treatment table which means that Nikola Mileusnic is the only fit, recognised striker on the club's books at the moment.
"That's a discussion with the club and at this stage I'm not sure what our position is as a club in regards to bringing players in," Moon told reporters when asked if he would be able to bring in cover.
Looking to build on the 1-0 home win over Perth Glory on Wednesday, Brisbane got off to the best possible start when Mileusnic put them in front after just two minutes.
But Adelaide hit back to pick up the win thanks to a brace from Craig Goodwin and a further strike by captain Stefan Mauk.
Moon believes his players were feeling the effects of four matches in the space of 11 days and did not have the energy to fight back.
"Once that second goal went in, it was going to be very difficult for us and we tried, we battled hard but in the end, not to be," Moon added.
