Manly skipper Daly Cherry-Evans says there is much more to come from the Sea Eagles following their 25-6 win over the Canberra Raiders on Saturday.
The Sea Eagles are priced at 10/1 to win the 2022 NRL grand final and showed against the Raiders that they have the potential to be a contender once again.
Manly kicked off the season with back-to-back defeats sparking fears they could be on course to lose four on the bounce like in 2021.
However they have bounced back well on this occasion with wins over the Bulldogs and the Raiders, but Cherry-Evans says they are nowhere near the finished article.

"Our momentum is not going to just happen, it doesn't just transfer from last season. You've got to create it," Cherry-Evans said. "We're improving every week but we're not where we need to be. To get a couple of wins earlier in the season than we did last year is obviously improvement in itself.
"But the opposition has improved again this year so we need to keep getting better."
Meanwhile coach Des Hasler was also happy to see his side hammer the scoreboard and register 25 points against the Raiders.
In the previous three games they could not get more than 12 points so Hasler took Saturday as a big plus.
"It's great to get back-to-back wins, build a bit of momentum and take that to Newcastle next week," Hasler told reporters.
