Nerodio will have another tough task on his hands this weekend when lining up in the Belmont Sprint but trainer Stephanie Bakranich has no doubt he can perform well.
The son of Playing God is 14/1 for this weekend's Group 3 contest as he looks to upset the likes of 13/10 Red Can Man and 9/2 Valour Road.
Bakranich was left delighted with the sprinter's reappearance effort in the Group 3 Roma Cup where he finished fifth behind Elite Street, beaten just over three lengths and is expecting another big performance.
"He ran a super race and we were very, very happy with him," Bakranich told Tabradio. "I only got the one trial into him and that was five weeks prior and I was hoping to give him two trials, that would have helped him.
"I realised he was up against a great class of horses and for race fitness I would have preferred the extra trial. He always tries his hardest and I always know he is going to be amongst it if he is sound and well and I have him one hundred per cent.
“I really focused on that more than anything and didn’t worry about the rest. He always does lots of miles, he just doesn't do a lot of galloping."

Nerodio heads into Saturday's Sprint with Bakranich confident the six-year-old can show his best, despite stepping up to 1400 metres for the first time.
"He's in super order and I'm really looking forward to Saturday. He's never started over 1400 metres, but I think he'll run it well," she said.
"He settles well and has a good turn of foot; he hasn't done it because we don't gallop him a lot."
