North Queensland coach Todd Payten hit out at his players and says they only have themselves to blame following the golden-point loss against the Warriors.
The Cowboys are hoping to finish in the top eight and play finals in 2022 but Payten felt his side threw away two points on Friday night.
The Cowboys were leading 18-6 and then 24-18 but could not see the job out as sloppy mistakes let the Warriors fight back to level the scores.
Shaun Johnson secured the 25-24 golden-point win when slotting a field goal and Payten did not hold back when he addressed reporters after the game.

"We gift-wrapped the game and handed it to the Warriors," Payten said. "A large part of that game we were in control but through our poor discipline, we're sitting there down on life.
"The try before and after halftime, that's the difference in the game. I had a sick feeling in my stomach, bit of a horror show unfolding in slow motion."
The Warriors did ride their luck a little and had to soak up plenty of pressure at times. But coach Nathan Brown felt they were worthy of the win.
"The amount of goal-line defence we did, to give us a chance to win the game, I thought we deserved to win," Warriors coach Nathan Brown said.
"We earned the right to win and at the end of the day it was Shaun's wobbliest field goal that went over. That's three in a row and we've found some growth in some areas."
