NRL: Pole pens Tigers extension

Wests Tigers are continuing to build for the future after confirming Fonua Pole has penned a two-year contract extension with the club.

The Tigers are looking to make finals for the first time in 11 years when the new season gets underway and they are priced at 40/1 to go a few steps further and win the premiership.

Two-year deal

Coach Michael Maguire has made some high-profile signings during the off-season but the club have also been working hard to secure some of the players already on the books.

Pole is one player who was already under contract for 2022 but the extension will now keep him with the Tigers until at least the end of 2024.

"His commitment to the future of Wests Tigers highlights the squad and future we are building at this great club."

Young talent

Wests Tigers Director of Football Tim Sheens is also pleased to secure another talented youngster and believes the future is a bright one.

"I’m really pleased to see Fonua extend his playing future with Wests Tigers," Sheens added. "He will add a lot to our forward pack over the coming years, and adds to the talented young squad we’re building for the future of Wests Tigers."
