Melbourne Victory boss Tony Popovic has praised his players for putting themselves in a position where they can still win the premiers plate with one game to go.
Victory are priced at 5/1 to win the minor premiership but need to beat Sydney FC on Saturday and then hope other results can go their way.
The minor premiership is on a knife edge going in to the final game of the season. Melbourne City are in the box seat as they sit top of the ladder just one point ahead of both Victory and Western United.
City play Wellington Phoenix on Monday. Western travel to Adelaide on Sunday. So a win for Victory today will take them top and really put the pressure on.

"We've put ourselves in a position where that's still possible, which is great," Popovic said. "We're at the pointy end at the right end of the year. We have to take care of business tomorrow and if we do that we give ourselves a chance to finish the season anywhere from first to third."
Meanwhile Victory have not beaten Sydney FC in nine games and that is a run they are hoping to put to an end on Saturday.
"We want to finish the regular season on a high. We're on a great run, we're playing Sydney FC so we know the rivalry and we know how good they are as a club,” Popovic added.
"It'd be a great time (to break the winless run). We've broken a lot of different records in terms of recent history with Melbourne Victory and the difficulties and long runs without wins. Here's another chance."
