Brisbane Lions star Cameron Rayner says he feels like he is starting to get back to his best following long-term injury but has promised there is much more to come.
The Lions are priced at 11/5 to reach the AFL grand final in the 2022 campaign and having Rayner fit and firing will be a big boost to their chances.
The 22-year-old missed the entire 2021 season after rupturing his ACL but is now back fit and in Chris Fagan’s side.
Rayner has made a solid start to the season but put in his best display so far in the 52-point win over the Gold Coast Suns at the weekend.

He gathered 20 disposals in the win at Metricon Stadium. The performance was even more special considering he did his ACL at the same venue.
"I feel like I've been building and building and building, and finally I'm starting to get a bit more confident out there and trust my body," Rayner told AFL.com.au.
"I feel like I'm getting back to my best. I didn't want to come out firing straight away, I wanted to build and build until the back end of the year."
Rayner says there is even more to come from him and he is working very hard in the week to try and take his game to the next level.
"I've put a lot more work into my footy this year than I have ever before during the week, with tapes, and trying to learn as much as I can with Lachie (Neale) and 'JL' (Jarryd Lyons),” he added.
"You can build the trust with the guys in the midfield and actually do your thing without worrying or hesitating about anything else. I think that's helped me the most.”
