G2 Esports looks to keep hold in North America

It isn't an easy path for G2 during this event as they draw Gladiators in their opening match of the tournament. Gladiators come in as the top seeded team out of the Asian-Pacific Qualifier.

G2 should have plenty of confidence after winning the Winter Split Major back in March. Not to mention their success over the last three seasons, including a winning record in each of the four major events they have played thus far in 2022.

Gladiators will have a lot to prove as they are the only team from their region in this event. G2's draw likely helps push them to at least an upper-semi finals appearance.

Once they reach matches against teams from the EU, things should get a lot tougher for North America's top Rocket League organization. G2 +500 is a good play to make things interesting in the opening matches of this tournament.

Europe offers the most value

The Europe region in Rocket League has a lot of firepower. Including four teams already locked into the RLCS World Championship. That charge is led by Team BDS who currently sits atop the European rankings.

They will have a challenge ahead in their opening match at RLCS Spring Major as they draw Team Secret out of the South American region.

Team Secret didn't have a very good showing at the Winter Split Major, as they finished in the 13-15th range. They have also lost two of their last four matches overall.

It cannot be forgotten that this team also features plenty of new faces with their current line-up all joining the organization in February.

Switzerland's BDS looks to keep things rolling especially after a great showing at the Fall Split Major, when they won the event outright. The team lost its most recent match coming in as they fell against fellow European contender Moist Esports at the EU Regional Event.

These teams have met once before at the Winter Split Major, when BDS pitched a 3-0 victory.

BDS isn't the only true threat out of the EU region, as their biggest threat is Moist Esports. Moist takes on OpTic Gaming from North America, so they have a far more challenging path. Regardless, both BDS and Moist Esports should have a real shot to get the win in this event.

BDS had a poor showing at the Winter Major, but the addition of Seikoo has made the organization the favourite for this whole event.

Spacestation Gaming could play spoiler

Spacestation Gaming might only be the fourth seed out of North America in this RLCS Spring Major. The team from the US led by Coach Robert "Chrome" Gomez will be trying to make a deep run. They will have to get past Pioneers.

Spacestation was able to shock many when they took home a third-place finish at the last Major. The last time Spacestation faced Pioneers, it didn't end well for the American organization, as they lost 3-1 during the Winter Split Major.

Oceania's lone representative in this event will try to beat Spacestation for the second-straight time.

Even with losing that last head-to-head meeting, Spacestation was still able to lean on Arsenal, retals and Daniel to reach the lower-bracket finals.

They ended up finishing third after losing a close match against Team Queso, who is not even at this Spring Major. Things will need to go far better for this team on the offensive end of the field, as they struggled in the previous meeting.

There are a number of dark-horse teams in this 16-team field but Spacestation Gaming is a good choice to be a possible spoiler.
