Forward Robert Thomas says the St. Louis Blues are a threat as they close in on a Stanley Cup Playoff place.
The Blues, 20/1 to win the Stanley Cup in 2021/22, scored four goals in the second period to beat the Arizona Coyotes 5-1 on Monday.
The victory was their fourth in the past five games (4-0-1) which included three games on the road in Western Canada.
22-year-old Thomas had two assists against the Coyotes to extend his personal point scoring stream to six games (three goals, eight assists totalling 11 points).
The first-round pick of the Blues in 2017 (20th overall) is in a fourth NHL season and has produced a career best 59 points (15 goals, 44 assists) in 59 games.

Thomas entered the NHL in 2018/19 and became a Stanley Cup Champion in his debut season with the Blues scoring six points (one goal, five assists) in 21 playoffs games.
With a 39-20-10 record and their recent run of good form, the Blues have moved six points ahead of the Nashville Predators for third place in the Central Division.
Thomas said to the media following the win over the Coyotes: "I think as a team we're just playing really well. Chances are coming from everywhere. Everyone's having good looks, everyone's chipping in offensively. I think it all comes from that."
