Manchester City

Top scorers 2021/22

15 – Kevin De Bruyne
13 – Raheem Sterling
11 – Riyad Mahrez

Odds 2022/23

1/4 - Erling Haaland
7/1 – Julian Alvarez
12/1 – Kevin De Bruyne

The ever-reliable Raheem Sterling has left, and Kevin De Bruyne will do very well to repeat last season’s 15-goal effort.

Pep Guardiola does, however, have the best striker in world football at his disposal, and surely only a question mark over his fitness stops him topping Manchester City’s goalscoring charts at a canter.

Manchester United

Top scorers 2021/22

18 – Cristiano Ronaldo
10 – Bruno Fernandes
5 – Mason Greenwood

Odds 2022/23

5/6 – Cristiano Ronaldo
5/2 – Bruno Fernandes
7/1 – Anthony Martial

If Cristiano Ronaldo is guaranteed game time as Manchester United’s main man, it’s hard to look past him being the side’s top scorer again – but it’s a big if. Anthony Martial seems to have impressed Erik ten Hag in pre-season, and we may see a rejuvenation from the Frenchman, while Bruno Fernandes will hope to be back on full-time penalty duties as he looks for another double-figure haul.

Newcastle

Top scorers 2021/22

8 – Callum Wilson
5 – Allan Saint-Maximin, Bruno Guimaraes

Odds 2022/23

1/1 – Callum Wilson
4/1 – Chris Wood
7/1 – Allan Saint-Maximin

Despite the huge financial backing, Newcastle have yet to splash the cash on a marquee centre-forward. Should Callum Wilson stay fit, he’d be expected to reach double figures and is the Magpies’ primary source of goals, with the likes of Allan Saint-Maximin, Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton all chipping in, and Chris Wood looking to increase on his underwhelming two from his time in the north east.

Nottm Forest

Top scorers 2021/22

16 – Brennan Johnson
12 – Lewis Grabban
8 – Ryan Yates

Odds 2022/23

1/1 – Taiwo Awoniyi
6/4 – Jesse Lingard
2/1 – Brennan Johnson

An impressive season from Brennan Johnson saw him bag 16 goals as Nottingham Forest secured a long-overdue return to the top flight, but it may be Taiwo Awoniyi who’s relied upon to keep Forest up.

The Nigerian already has plenty of top-flight experience, and his 15 Bundesliga goals last season sees him favourite to top the Tricky Trees’ scoring charts.

Southampton

Top scorers 2021/22

10 – James Ward-Prowse
7 – Che Adams
6 – Armando Broja

Odds 2022/23

2/1 – Che Adams
11/4 – James Ward-Prowse
9/2 – Adam Armstrong

Adam Armstrong didn’t have the impact Saints fans were hoping for, and Armando Broja won’t be returning to the south coast, opening the door for Che Adams to step up.

He’s not quite hit 10 goals for Southampton yet, but with more minutes, he may reach the milestone, and having scored four penalty and four free-kicks, James Ward-Prowse will do well to score 10 goals again.

Tottenham

Top scorers 2021/22

23 – Son Heung-min
17 – Harry Kane
5 – Dejan Kulusevski

Odds 2022/23

8/13 – Harry Kane
7/4 – Son Heung-min
10/1 – Richarlison

An off season from Harry Kane saw Son Heung-min swoop in as Tottenham’s top scorer, but with a full season under Antonio Conte, Kane will expect to be firing them in once again

West Ham

Top scorers 2021/22

12 – Jarrod Bowen
10 – Michail Antonio
8 – Said Benrahma

Odds 2022/23

11/8 – Michail Antonio
6/4 – Jarrod Bowen
6/1 – Said Benrahma

Jarrod Bowen’s breakout season saw him top West Ham’s goalscoring charts as well as capture the eye of Gareth Southgate. Bowen and Michail Antonio put up identical xG figures last season, with bet365 pricing the Jamaican as a marginal favourite between the pair.

Antonio has scored 10 goals in each of his last three Premier League campaigns, and a similar tally this time around might be enough to finish as the Hammers’ top scorer.

Wolves

Top scorers 2021/22

6 – Raul Jimenez
5 – Hwang Hee-chan
4 – Conor Coady, Ruben Nevez

Odds 2022/23

8/11 – Raul Jimenez
6/1 – Pedro Neto
7/1 – Hwang Hee-chan, Daniel Podence

Goals were a big source of Wolves’ problems last year, and it’ll likely be a similar story this time around. Raul Jimenez doesn’t look the same player since recovering from a career-threatening head injury, and notched just six times last term.

Hwang Hee-chan and Pedro Neto will look to play bigger roles, and may be of interest at bigger prices.
