Perth Glory interim coach Ruben Zadkovich says his young side will be massive underdogs against Melbourne Victory on Wednesday night but they are ready to go toe-to-toe with them.
Victory are going well and are out to win the A-League grand final this season, while Glory are on course to finish bottom of the ladder.
Zadkovich has been forced to operate with a depleted squad since replacing the sacked Richard Garcia and will again be without up to 13 players when they play host to Victory.
It means the team will be made up with the senior players that are left and a number from the Glory academy who are being handed a chance to shine.

Glory could be in for a rough ride against former boss Tony Popovic’s side, but Zadkovich says his players will be going out to give it their all.
“As a group, we’re going to stick together really tight; I’m big on that,” he said ahead of the game. “The boys have been fantastic, the mood, the energy and the mentality have been super and we won’t take a backward step.
“We’re at home, we’ll go into the game as massive underdogs and we’ll take that tag and run with it.
“It’s been an extremely difficult year for the group and for the club and now we’re in this position where we just have to keep picking up the pieces and go into battle each week, or every four days.”
Zadkovich has confirmed Glory will again be without Daniel Sturridge, Andy Keogh and Bruno Fornaroli.
