Ruben Zadkovich is remaining calm over his chances of taking the Perth Glory job on a permanent basis following Wednesday night’s shock win over Melbourne City.
Glory have had a season to forget and finish the campaign on the bottom of the ladder. It is the first time in their history they have picked up the wooden spoon.
However they went out on a high following a surprise 2-0 win against ladder-leaders Melbourne City at HBF Park. Zadkovich said it shows there is light at the end of the tunnel and the future could be a bright one. Now it just remains to be seen if he will be around to guide the ship.
Zadkovich stepped in after Richard Garcia was sacked midway through the season and he has been forced to work with a crippling injury list.

Reports have suggested that club owner Tony Sage will hand the reins to Zadkovich, but the interim boss says nothing has been decided as yet.
"Of course (I want the job), but my ambitions, even with the final game done and dusted, are parked at the moment," he said.
"Because my job is to look after the club, the football club and to rebuild this team and that process is well and truly underway and there's a lot of hard work to be done. It's a proud club, and we need to get it off the bottom of the ladder and start climbing."
